SYTYCD 2012: What To Expect Top 10 Week

This week on So You Think You Can Dance 2012, the Top 10 will be paired with All-Star partners.

Also, ballet dancer, choreographer and husband of Natalie Portman Benjamin Millepied, who is best known for starring in and choreographing “Black Swan,” will guest-judge. The L.A. Dance Project will also perform a special routine.

After last week’s results cut 4 singers, that leaves this top 10: Lindsay Arnold, Witney Carson, Audrey Case, Eliana Girard, Cole Horibe, George Lawrence II, Tiffany Maher, Cyrus Spencer, Will Thomas and Chehon Wespi-Tschopp.

Be sure to check back the full recap of the Wednesday show. And as always, stay locked in at SYTYCD.NET and join us on Facebook all season for your news, results and recaps.

SYTYCD 2012 – Familiar Faces on Next Week’s Show!

This week on So You Think You Can Dance, the couples all performed familiar routines. That went…. interestingly. I don’t want to get into it again. I’m still recovering. But next week, I think things will go much better as we see some familiar faces instead!

Now that we’ve reached the Top 10, the contestants will stop partnering with each other and start partnering with All-Stars! I love this change that has come in the past few years. I think adding the All-Stars ups the game of all the dancers. It also makes it clear who is falling behind.

I don’t know who the All-Stars will be, but I hope Twitch is one, of course. And I’m dying for Allison Holker to dance with Cole. That would probably be an instant classic. Especially if they get Travis Wall as a choreographer – he announced on his twitter last night that he would be doing two routines for next week’s show!

As for the guest judge next week, it’s Benjamin Milliepied aka co-star and choreographer of Black Swan aka Mr. Natalie Portman. I’m excited for him. I like to think that Ben and Nat lay in bed with their baby watching SYTYCD Wednesday nights. They aren’t busy or anything, I’m sure.

After this week’s issues, I’m really excited to see next week’s episode! How about you??

SYTYCD 2012 – The Top 14 Are Back With Familiar Dances!

Alright my So You Think You Can Dance friends, I have good news and bad news. The good news is, obviously, we are back. (Bad news to that good news – the Olympics are over and I have to wait 4 more years for all my swimmers to come back on the TV. In the meantime, I’ll troll Tumblr) The SYTYCD related bad news: to make up for all the lost time, Nigel is being cut throat and sending 4 of these lovelies home:

Who will it be? I’m not telling you yet. You have to read (or scroll) through my recap to find out. I prefer if you read it, but whatever… Click Here to Continue Reading »

According to Fox, four more dancers will be heading home after the elimination results tonight. That means the Top 10 will be decided by the end of the night. Also tonight, we’ll see a tribute to choreographer Mia Michaels.

Who are you rooting for? Who do you want to see stay and make it to the Top 10?
