So You Think You Can Dance 2011: Final 4 Performance Show Tonight

This is it, the big season finale performance show tonight on So You Think You Can Dance 2011. Season 8 wraps up with its final 4 dancers: Tadd Gadduang, Marko Germar, Sasha Mallory and Melanie Moore. These four dancers will return tonight to compete for your votes and the chance to win this year’s crown as the top dancer.

The live show will run a full two-hours starting at 8PM ET so get ready for some fun!

I am so VERY disappointed in this season’s SYTYCD. I have watched since the very first season. I would watch, this season, and think it would improve each week but at no time did these dancers compare to last season’s dancers. When I look back at last season with Kent, Lauren, Robert, Ashley and Billy I can’t even compare this years dancers to last years. I hope next season will be back on track or maybe I’m expecting too much after last years contestants.

I liked the dancers this season. I have watched since almost the beginning. It took about 2 seasons for me to “discover” the show. Once I started watching, I was amazed by the athletic ability of the dancers and realized what had to be done to reach that level. What I disliked most about this season were the guest judges who did not know that much about dance. Sadly even the final show had a weak judge. Her comments were more about acting than dance. I look to Nigel and Mary to give valid critique to the dancers. I don’t like it when they tell us who their favs are or who they think will win. They are there to help us understand the positives and negatives of the dancers who just performed, not determine the final result. I was hoping for at least one Mandy Moore (sp.?) routine for the final show. I liked her work the best this season.
